Fall kickoff!

October 20, 2010

Pumpkin Spice Diffuser

Fall is by far my favorite season, so it’s especially exciting when it arrives – the nights get just a little cooler, the crisp smell of leaves fill the air, and the farmers market is brimming with fresh fall produce to make delicious meals with. Being able to dig your favorite big sweatshirt out of the dresser and take a walk out night, totally comfortable, is one of the most cozy things you could do. I forced myself to wait to crack open anything fall-scented until the official kickoff, and this pumpkin diffuser is definitely one of my favorites for this year. Right now it is sitting on a shelf in my bathroom, and it’s the first thing to wake me up in the morning when I wash my face (wish is much nicer than the, er, usual scents my husband is capable of emitting). I was never one to enjoy floral scents in the bathroom, so this is perfect for me. The dried flowers and dark reed sticks make this diffuser particularly different, and much more decorative than the standard light wood boring diffuser. Pick one up for yourself!

FYI..I can mix up refills using my fragrance oils and a “low-VOC” base. No reason to let the vase go to waste when the oil is gone! I can order the dark reeds in bulk too (already have some of the lighter ones). I like going to Pier 1 to find some of the more decorative reeds to mix in with the plain ones – they always have seasonal and interesting designs to choose from.
