Simple & Healthy Breakfast Recipe: Greek Yogurt

I have a new Greek obsession that starts with a Y! No, it’s not Yanni, you sicko. It’s yogurt – and it’s delicious! It has twice the protein of regular yogurt, less fat, and a nice thick, creamy texture. The best part is that it’s so easy to eat this healthy breakfast during the work week. Here is my simple and easy new breakfast recipe:

1 cup greek yogurt (I use Chobani, Vanilla flavor)

1/2 cup granola (or cereal of your choice)

A drizzle of honey

You could stop here, or you could also add:

1 tbsp ground flax seeds

1/2 cup fresh blueberries and/or strawberries

1 sliced banana

If you have a fridge at work, buy the tub of Chobani and keep it in your work fridge. If not, just scoop some into a tupperware before heading out the door and be on your way. Keep a ziplock bag of granola or your favorite cereal in your drawer at work and toss some on top. Same with the ground flax seed. Throw on some strawberries or sliced banana, and voila! With a tiny bit of preparation you’ve eaten a nice healthy breakfast, and broken the usual routine of a bagel or coffee and a donut. You’ll thank me, and Yanni, later.
